Here at Mendocino Visitors we are huge fans of mushrooms and this is the season for sharing the bounty of mushrooms in Mendocino County.
From Nov. 2nd through Nov. 11th, 2018, the County of Mendocino is rolling out the red carpet for mushroom lovers. Yes, their health benefits have been extolled by many, as it should be, but oh my, it’s their taste. So, this November, have some fun with mushrooms here on the coast and inland.
Along with a glass of wine or a sip of brew or two, you’ll be able to participate in such things as a champagne and mushroom brunch at the Elk Cove Inn, a Fungi Fest aboard the Skunk Train, bone up on history at the Kelley House’s Bars, Bordellos, and Mushrooms event. Or perhaps you might like to attend Stanford Inn’s Medicinal Mushroom Breakfast. Learn about mushrooms and nutrition. Have fun at the Flor and Fungi cocktail workshop at the Fog Eater Cafe. You won’t want to miss Harbor House’s Forager’s Feast, or the Caspar Community Mushroom Dinner. How about the huge Harvest Celebration in Hopland!!! And, oh my, Saracina Mushroom Foraging & Luncheon sounds delightful, doesn’t it? Head to the Willits Community Gardens to Learn about Mushroom Cultivation. And to top it all off – you’ll want to head to Jughandle Creek Farm for the Fun Forage Finale!
Don’t know about you, but this ALL sounds wonderful. So, celebrate fun and fungi, stay a night or two. Visit Mendocino’s Feast Mendocino events is truly a delightful way to enjoy your November. We’re looking forward to seeing you.
