And speaking of lighting up everyone's life ...
Festival of Lights brightens Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens
Each winter the Gardens transforms into a twinkling show of light and color, and this year is no exception. This year’s ninth annual Festival of Lights will run rain or shine each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening from Nov. 23 through Dec. 16.
After strolling along the Gardens’ pathways lined with displays, festivalgoers can warm up and wind down in a decorated tent completed with live music, local craft brews, and some of the best wine Mendocino County has to offer. The Holiday Sweets Café offers hot cocoa, spiced cider, and goodies provided by members of Friends of the Gardens.
Adult tickets are $10 and children age 16 and under attend for free. Tickets for the Festival of Lights are available for purchase at The Garden Store in the Gardens or at gardenbythesea.org.
In addition to the Festival of Lights, you won’t want to miss Gualala Art Center’s Festival of Trees the weekend of Nov. 23rd – it’s magical!
Mendocino Art Center’s 59th Annual Thanksgiving Arts & Crafts Fair adds to the festivities Nov. 23 and 24 from 10:00 to 5 p.m. High quality artwork and gift items, including handcrafted jewelry, paintings and photographs, functional and sculptural ceramics, fiber art and clothing, and more.
The following week is a must-attend event, too: Grace Hudson Museum’s Annual Holiday Open House from Nov. 30 through Dec. 2nd. Lots of local arts and crafts, Santa Claus, refreshments and live music.
All of us here at Mendocino Visitors, join in wishing each of you the happiness of good friends, the joy of a happy family, and the wonder of the holiday season. Have a memorable Thanksgiving!
